Help Phinnias and the "Belton Six"
Dear our wonderful Pyr family,
It has been several months since I’ve last contacted you and for that I have been thankful as we have not had any expensive medical emergencies. If you have checked our website or facebook fan page lately, you will have seen that we have been able to take in some absolutely adorable puppies.

One such litter came from a shelter in the Belton area. A rancher turned in two adult LGDs and a litter of 6 puppies (see picture) and we were able to accept all of them as our network of wonderful foster parents volunteered to help. The puppies are now seven weeks old.

Unfortunately, puppies have very immature immune systems and being in a shelter for any amount of time exposes their defenseless young bodies to disease and germs. Five of the six puppies have developed respiratory infections, requiring extra vet visits and TLC from their fosters, but they are recovering nicely.

The sixth puppy is a young lad named Phinnias. He has tested positive for parvo and is currently receiving emergency vet care and fighting for his life. This care includes receiving IV fluids, Tamiflu injections and other assorted medications, as well as nursing care and monitoring. We will not give up on Phinnias and are asking for your help in funding the care for the Belton Six.

So far, the “extra” vet bills for all of the puppies have exceeded $800 and we are expecting this amount to double when all of Phinnias’ bills are added in. We would like to raise $1500 so that we can continue to help those most in need. Can you help us help these precious puppies? Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue is a 501c(3)organization and donations are tax deductible.

Sincerely,
Ken Anctil
